For every ticket you buy you are helping people like Keith and his loved one’s create precious summer memories. Jenny has kindly shared her story about one of Keith’s last days in the Hospice.
“Keith’s best friend came to visit with his wife. He was sitting and looking out on the garden, and said he would love to be outside. After 3 weeks in hospital he hadn’t been able to do that.
He was wheeled into the garden, his sunglasses on, and said he really wanted a cider. The nurse was so lovely and said they had some in the fridge, so came back out with two big bottles for him to choose from. It was the last full day Keith was awake with us, and it felt like we were sat at home in the garden, doing something normal with friends.
Keith just kept saying “I’ve had a really lovely afternoon.”
Keith just wanted to be outside... I think he managed to find peace in the garden. I will treasure those last few days before Keith fell asleep, sitting out in the Hospice garden, sipping cider and finding some kind of peace with it all.”

£2 could pay for a cold drink to enjoy with friends in the garden
